A Fast Way to Improve Sports Performance
Incredible as it may seem one may improve their performance in any sport by simply visualizing success. This was shown to be true in a study by Judd Blaslotto, a professor at the University of Chicago. He organized the study this way. After doing a review of their individual accuracies at successful free throws, he divided the basketball players into 3 groups. Group A was instructed to practice actual free throws on the court for an hour per day. Group B was instructed to visualize successful free throws for an hour. And finally Group C had the easiest assignment of doing nothing.
The end result was that the group that practiced the actual act of free throws, showed an in improvement of 24%. Group Be that visualized only, showed an improvement of 23%. The third group was found down at the local bar having beers and asking “what? There’s practice today?” Or no improvement.
The lesson here and stated in a different way is an essential fact to how you fare in your sports pursuits. The human mind cannot tell the difference between an event in reality in 3D and one that is fashioned in the mind as a day dream, meditation, or visualization. Hypnosis can play an important part in this process. There are essential segments to a successful visualization that make the effort successful and that is what you can learn from a certified hypnotist.
And don’t just think that the uses of guided visualization applies just to improved sports performance. It can easily be applied to any pursuit that a person desires a successful conclusion. For example, test taking, making more money, sleeping better, and on and on. I know you get the message. Imagine the hurdles that can be overcome just by visiting you local hypnotherapist.
